Upon arriving in the emergency room, we couldn't keep Kingston awake, so the doctor wanted to do a CT scan to make sure he didn't have any brain bleeds, etc. The scan looked good so we moved forward with calling a plastic surgeon to come stitch him up in the best way possible to avoid a large scar on his face. It took her a good 2 hours to get there, so in the meantime Daddy was able to come relieve Grandma Laurie who then went to relieve Aunt Crystal; oh the joys of multiple young children. ;)
Once the plastic surgeon got there we had to have 4 of us holding Kingston down so she could clean it and stitch him up. The poor kid couldn't breathe in between all of his hard sobbing. Luckily Daddy brought him a Keva Juice for him to have when he got done so that bribery was literally the only thing that got us through it. It took 4 layers of stitches and the surgeon said somewhere between 30 and 40 stitches. But as soon as she was done and he got his Keva Juice, he was the happiest camper around!
