Kingston has been a picky eater since we introduced solids; however, we just found the trick. He's decided that if he's at the counter like a big boy then he'll eat whatever Daddy eats.
As you can see, he also thinks it's funny to feed Daddy. Daddy got so sick of peach yogurt after this meal.

This year Kingston and Maycie were a little hesitant when it came to sitting on Santa's lap. Kingston's arms were outstretched for Mom the entire time.
However, not long after Santa gave Kingston a cool book, he decided Santa wasn't all that bad.

As you can imagine, it's hard for us to find a babysitter who can handle our two little ones at the same time. Because of that, we decided to invite our friends over to our house for a Christmas party. We had taco soup and broccoli cheese soup in bread bowls along with the typical salad bar for dinner. After dinner, we played white elephant with the whole group; as you can see from the picture, it got a little silly. Some of the favorite gifts were: a toilet bowl mug with an unwrapped Snickers bar inside, TV trays with cat pictures on them, a Sponge-Bob Chia Pet, a 4-pack of Ninja Turtle movies, and pajama bottoms that have a funny message. We're so grateful for the friends that we have in our lives and for the funny moments we're able to share with them.

Jess and I have always loved going to see the lights at temple square. We thought that it would be fun to go as a family with our two kids this year; we were wrong. They liked the lights for about 5 minutes and then were ready for a warm bath. To take a break we decided to go inside and see the statue of Christ while we got warm.
It was so much fun to see Kingston give his full attention to the presentation of the Christ statue; he literally just stared at it the entire time. After the presentation, we decided to go watch the family presentation. In the third section of the theater, Kingston started crying and put his head down on Jess' lap. As he lifted his head back up, the wonderful french fries and oranges he had for dinner also came back up. The poor sister missionaries, that tried so hard to get us to come watch the video, had no idea what to do. I quickly picked up Kingston, grabbed a trash can, and ran with his face in the trash can to the nearest bathroom.... 2 floors and about 200 feet away. You can imagine the awkward looks we were getting as we walked out and back to our car with a little boy wrapped in a pink blanket with no shoes or socks on, along with a giant clear trashbag with all of our messy coats in it. Needless to say, we'll make sure to never have french fries again before going to see the lights.

Our little Maycie Lou is 4 months old! She's starting to get so chunky! We love each and every new roll that pops up every day. She has recently received the nickname from Mom and Dad of "Angel Baby". She literally is such a good little girl; she is independent when we need her to be, plays games with us when we want her to, and sleeps like an angel. We couldn't have asked for a better baby and are so grateful that we get to be her parents and watch her grow.
