Haizlie is 7 months!

Haizlie Grace is 7 months today! She is so stinkin' busy all the time that she wouldn't sit still or smile for Mommy for a picture! She has definitely become a Momma's girl these last few weeks and just wants Mommy to hold her all day long. She is still having an allergic reaction to baby food but has tried green beans, peas, and carrots. She is loving veggie straws and cherrio's but loves to make a mess of them even more!

Haizlie is 6 months!!

Miss Haizlie Grace is officially one half of a year old! This last six months has gone by WAY too fast but we're so glad with the time we are able to spend with this little nugget. She can sit up now and likes to roll all over the place to get to things. She is definitely starting to get into trouble being more mobile which her siblings think is funny. She is still the happiest baby ever and is smiling all day, but doesn't give us much laughter yet, mainly just a nice cackle that sounds like she is choking. She has eaten oatmeal cereal a few times but seems to get a skin allergic reaction every time so Mommy is going to hold of on food for a little bit longer. The claps all day long and has had the best time with the holiday season. We love you Haizie Bug!!

Kasen's 3rd Birthday Party!

Our little Queso Ball (Kase-O the cheese ball) turned 3 last week and we were finally able to have his birthday party! This little boy in such a sweet and loving stage right now; he is always helping Mom with "Hazie Bug Num Num", giving lots of kisses, making sure we get good pushes(squeezes) at night, helping Mom clean the house, telling Maycie and "Brub" good job, and just all around being a caring little/big brother. He currently LOVES "O-planes" (airplanes) so we decided to take him and some little buddies to the Hill Aerospace Museum. We ended up getting a babysitter for Haizlie and taking Kasen, Kingston, Maycie, cousin Jase, and cousin Beckett. The second we pulled into the parking lot, all of the kids started shouting about the big airplanes. We walked through the WWII museum and they thought it was cool to see the "funny looking" airplanes and helicopters, then we went to the newer museum and they started to see some big airplanes and helicopters, then we ended outside with the REALLY BIG airplanes. It was so much fun to see Kasen's and the rest of the kids faces light up with EVERY SINGLE new airplane we saw. I can't wait for Kasen to start saying he wants to be a pilot now!
After the museum, we went to Nicholls Park in Fruit Heights which is also known as the castle park for the huge playground. We had pizza and root beer and sang happy birthday to Kasen with cupcakes that he picked out. He then opened presents which were a Lightning McQueen bubble machine from Brett Burgess, a train set from cousin Jase, a remote control car from cousin Beckett, and a race track and paw patrol airplane from Mom and Dad that we saved from his real birthday presents. This kid had an awesome day and I'm so glad because he SO deserves it! We love you Kaso Ball!

Goodbye Grandma Karen

Grandma Karen was an absolute ROCKSTAR with the kids while Mommy and Daddy were gone. In fact, so much so that the kids really would have been fine saying goodbye to Mom and Dad if they could just go home with Grandma. So on her last day, we went to the park and then actually took her into the airport. We had several races on the movie walkways(all of which Mommy and Grandma lost), we rode the elevators several times, got to push the buttons on the screens to check Grandma in for her flight, then waited with her just outside of security until the absolute last second she could possibly wait. The kids really are going to miss Grandma and can't wait for her next visit!

Haizlie is 4 months!

Little Num Num is officially 4 months! This month she has been all smiles! If you just look at her she gets bashful and smiley and STICKS HER TONGUE OUT! That adorable little tongue peeks its way into nearly every one of her sparkling smiles. She really does have a smile that can light up a room. She is the easiest, most predictable baby there ever was. She has learned how to roll from her back to her tummy now so although she can roll both ways, she typically gets stuck on her tummy and squacks until you roll her over. This month she definitely found her hands and her feet so she's always holding one foot and always has a hand in her mouth if she doesn't have a binky. She's been our little squish ball all month long! She is happy literally all day long except for about the 3 minutes before she falls asleep for a nap. But Mommy has found that if you put her binky in, wrap her in her fussy pink blanket (and yes, she can tell the difference between blankets), and hold her close to you, that she instantly calms down and falls asleep. At night Mommy puts her down awake and she falls asleep on her own, and usually sleeps from 9:30pm to 9:00am! We couldn't ask for a more happy, loving, and loveable baby!

Kingston's 5th Birthday!

I still can't believe we have a 5 year old!! Kingston is growing up so fast, but it is so fun to watch! This year he wanted a Star Wars party at his house, "like Maycie's last time". When the kids arrived they got to make their own light sabers with pool noodles, different colored duct tape, and stickers. Then we went right into Jedi Training by starting out with "Using the Force Within" and playing pin the light saber on yoda. Then they worked out their jedi skills by making their way through the lazer challenge without touching the lazers. Then they got hungry so we ate dinner which was Padawan Pizza, Jedi Jello, Wookie Cookies, Space Chips, Hans Rolos, and Yoda Soda. The kids thought it was funny, but Jess just thought I was cheesy. Ha. After their Force Fuel, they became official Jedi's by getting their robes. We then fought the Storm Troopers (balloons), then fought the pinata(Darth Vader), then Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper came to life and the kids got to fight them. We opened presents and had some cake and before we knew it the party was over. Kingston had a great time and is still having a great time with all of his fun presents.
