Swimming Filled Day

Today we had a busy, fun-filled day. First we started out at our friend's cabin in Heber playing "Z-Ball". This is a game that their family made up that is a combination of kick-ball, slip-n-slides, pools, and 5 bases plus home plate. Mommy and Daddy had a great time playing while the kids had a fun time playing in the kids pools. Kasen especially loved throwing things in the kids pool, including Brother's tennis shoes. This will definitely be a family tradition; I mean, we had so much fun I forgot to take pictures! ;) After Z-Ball we went to Grandma Nee's house to swim at her pool. The kids loved spending time with her and are officially obsessed with her pool. Kasen loved playing on the ramp, Maycie loved laying/floating in the shallow end, and we couldn't get Kingston off of the slide!

Maycie in the parade!

Maycie Lou was big enough to be in the Bountiful Pioneer Day parade with her dance class. She was so excited for it leading up to it that she told everyone she was going to be in it, then when we got there she was still tired from nap time so she was a little annoyed by the sun. She still had a great time and Mommy walked along side her for most of it because Mommy was a worry wart leaving her alone with so many people around. At the end she was so excited to have all of her cousins see her on the float that she really got into waving to everyone. She now wants to "be in the rade" every year!

Hallelujah! The cast is off!

Taking his cast off, Kasen could not wait to start scratching the crap out of his leg. He hated the loud noise of the drill cutting it off but definitely had fun playing with the cast when it was off of his leg. His leg wasn't fully healed so he'll be in a walking boot for two weeks at which point we'll see if it is healed enough to be able to walk alone. We sure have loved this little buddy and all of the cuddle sessions he has given us lately.

Maycie is potty trained!

We decided to potty train Maycie a few weeks ago and she did awesome! It only took 3 days to be fully potty trained and she only had ONE accident in those three days and its only because Mommy couldn't get her pants down quick enough. In fact, she did so well with potty training that during nap time today, I fell asleep and woke up to make some food about 45 minutes after putting the kids down for naps and her a noise coming from the bathroom. Scared, I flung the door open, turned the light on, and found Miss Maycie had apparently needed to go to the bathroom but didn't want to wake Mommy. This is how I found her... panty-less, asleep on the floor, with wods of toilet paper surrounding her and the toilet. Cute girl is so determined when she puts her mind to something!

Kingston's 4th Birthday!!

Kingston is getting so grown up!!! We were so excited for his 4th birthday party that we started talking about it weeks before his actual birthday. So when we asked him what kind of party he wanted, he had already had his mind set on a "inja party"(a.k.a. ninja party). The fun part about this birthday is that Kingston was old enough to write his name on his invitations! He had a great time delivering them but didn't understand why he then had to wait a few days for the actual party. Needless to say, the morning of his birthday he could not be any more excited! Mommy and Daddy brought him breakfast in bed; cereal, yogurt, chocolate milk, a starburst, a mini crunch bar, and an otterpop... all his favorites. :) Before we headed off to the party, we let Kingston open one of his presents; A NINJA COSTUME that he could wear to the party!! He was so excited that he helped Maycie and Kasen get in the car and told Grandma Karen and Uncle Trent to run to their car so we weren't late. We had the party at Tunnel Springs Park by our house, and when his friends started showing up he couldn't wait to show them him ninja costume.

To start off the ninja training, Jess taught the kids different "ninja" moves such as a round-house kick, the grasshopper kick, and different sword moves. We made the ninja swords from paint sticks, black cardstock, and ribbon, and all of the kids had their own swords that they could take home once they passed ninja training. After they had the basics down, then we moved to a tumbling mat and worked on different rolls and "flips". It was hilarious to see some of the kids trying to do a summersault with the sword still in hand. We then had the kids line up about 30 feet away from "the bad guy"(a.k.a Mommy), and then would run really fast like ninjas to fight the bad guy one at a time. One of the highlights was the only girl that actually participated was the first one to let out a loud growl/grunt as she ran to fight the bad guy. Adorable!

Present time got a little chaotic, but Kingston sure enjoyed all of his toys. Some of the toys he got from friends were: a talking spiderman action figure, superhero figure books, a Paw Patrol figure book, a bounce hop, a Mr. Potato Head Spiderman, a Carz remote control car, some noise guns, sunglasses, comic books, a Spiderman punching bag with gloves, and many more. After working up an appetite, they at pizza and cake, and for treats we had sushi(rice krispie treats with fruit by the foots wrapped around them), fortune cookies, and chinese thank you bags full of candy. Kingston had a great birthday and it was fun to see how much his friends from school love him.
He then finished off the day by going to The Minion Movie with Daddy, Grandma Karen, and Uncle Trent. He thought he was such a big guy! Please can time just slow down!? Happy Birthday King Bean!
