New Years Eve!

What an awesome night! We have been so incredibly fortunate this year to make and have the friends that we are blessed with at this time. To celebrate the year we started off with a neighborhood family party for the kids. The Manning's hosted the party in their home and had a fun night planned for us. We started by eating dinner (pizza, salad, chips, veggies, and root beer floats). Then the kids played games like beat the timer by popping the balloons before the timer ran out, unwrapping the present by rolling die and getting a 3 or a 6, having a dance party, making their own new years hats, and more. We celebrated the "new year" around 8:30 pm by watching a cartoon countdown and clinking our glasses of sparkling cider for a toast. The kids had a great time and were perfectly worn out so Mommy and Daddy could put them down and go to grown-up parties. The kids that were at the party were Kingston, Maycie, Kasen, Avery, Boston, Izza, Caroline, and Will.

Once we got the kids down, we went out with our friends Jordan and Derek Hemsley, and Tanner and Amanda Hansen. We went to Derek's cousins house which was hilarious from the second we walked in. This family was definitely into putting on a good show; I say this because they have an empty room designated to dancing with a disco ball, lights, and 27 speakers! We played Dance Dance Revolution, listened to some karaoke, ate lots of dessert, and watched an awesome firework show that they put on. After a lot of dancing, lots of food, and lots of laughs, we went back to Jordan and Derek's house and played games until 3:00 in the morning!! Jess and I were so tired I literally went cross-eyed on the drive home! What an amazing 2014 we had, and what an amazing way to start off 2015!

What a fun Christmas day we've had! It's so fun to see Kingston and partially Maycie being old enough to know what is going on now. When we woke them up and told them that Santa came they both started jumping around the room. Daddy carried them down to the living room and they were SO excited when they saw all the presents. The kids loved passing out the presents when we read them the name, but I feel like they liked opening their presents even more. ;)
