Maycie In Curls

Maycie's hair is so stick straight that I thought it would be fun to see her little head in curls. I thought putting the curlers in would be harder than it was, but all I had to do was let her pull half of the curlers apart and she sat still the entire time. You can see by the pictures that she thought the curlers were a little strange.

Once the curlers were out she was happy as a kitten again.

Christmas Day!

The kids absolutely LOVED Christmas this year! They loved unwrapping all of their presents and had fun dancing to Christmas music at the same time. Some of their favorite presents included: kitchen playset and food, 30th Anniversary car, barbies and dress ups for Maycie, a bike and remote control car for Kingston, and baby's firsts toys for Kasen. I think Mommy, Daddy, and Santa did pretty well this year.

Grandma Jensen

Every year on Christmas Day we go up to Grandma Jensen's and open presents as a whole extended family. This was the first year without Grandpa Jensen. Grandpa Jensen, Robert LeRoy Jensen, was one of the best men I know and we will always be able to tell our kids how amazing their "Great"-grandpa was. That being said, they have an amazing Grandma Jensen as well. This past year she has really started getting into pottery. She makes beautiful decorations, and then paints them along with her Christmas village. Her attention to detail, along with a steady hand, makes her very talented. This Christmas we were able to walk the kids over to her village and point out which items she had worked on this year. Kingston and Maycie especially loved the doggy that Grandma made. Jess and I appreciate the time she took to make and paint us a decorative poinsettia plate for Christmas that we will always cherish. We miss Grandpa Jensen greatly, but are very glad that we're still able to enjoy Grandma Jensen and the things in her life that define who she is as a person; gentle yet outspoken, intelligent yet organized, loving, and detail, goal, and family oriented.

Christmas Eve

As tradition, we had a party with the Curtis family on Christmas Eve. The kids loved opening presents with all of their cousins. Grandma Laurie and Grandpa Dave gave Kingston and Maycie "Stuffies" with some toys in them, and Kasen got a bumble bee that spins and pops out balls from its wings. Little Maycie Lou wasn't feeling well so she sat on Daddy's lap the whole time. Poor girl!
