St. George

We had such a fun weekend with our friends, Trevor and Laura Burbidge, in St. George. We actually drove from Logan to St. George(a 5 1/2 hour drive), and the kids were not happy. They were loving life when we finally arrived and they could get out of the car. We were able to enjoy the outdoors the entire time because of the perfect weather. We played some shuffle board and Maycie loved watching. She sat next to us on the grass and clapped her hands as she watched us and a pretty pinwheel spin with the wind.

We were also fortunate enough to be able to enjoy the pool at our condo several times within just 3 days. Maycie loved her ladybug floaty and Kingston loved whatever water squirters he could find. They were too preoccupied to let us get a decent picture as a family, but we're glad they liked the pool so much.

We love Boondocks! Every time we go to St. George we have to make a stop at Boondocks for the bumper boats and go-karts. This year Kingston was able to ride the bumper boats with Daddy, however, he was a little confused as to why he kept getting wet. Maycie loved watching Daddy from her stroller. Kingston also liked the coin-operated cars and the playland but Maycie was scared of both of them the second we walked in the room. Mommy's favorite part is definitely the go-karts and mini-golf.

A Little More Cabo

As I was going through pictures, I found a few more of Cabo that I hadn't seen before. I just had to sit and think for a moment how fortunate we were to be able to go on this trip. I'm so grateful for a hard working husband and for our family who is so willing to help out with our kids. It was amazing to be able to spend time on the beach together. We experienced things that we probably won't be able to experience again for a long time, if ever such as hiking along beaches to unique caves, playing in 20 foot waves, staying at a resort with floating palm trees, swimming with dolphins, and just spending quality alone time together. What a beautiful world we live in!

CABO!!!...

Beautiful Scenery
On the most beautiful day we could have asked for, we went to the infamous Lovers Beach and Lands End. These pictures are of just that; the peachful Lovers Beach, the walk to Divorce Beach, and Lands End that is currently covered by water. There are incredible rock formations that you can tell were once connected and are now hundreds of feet away from its other half. I wish we could have stayed here longer.
Boat Ride
One of the friends that we went with had a connection with one of the locals. For $20 he took us on his little boat to the island and we went whale watching and snorkeling. Whale watching wasn't planned but when we asked what the boats were doing in the distance he told us whale watching and asked if we wanted to go. So on this tiny little puttering boat, we ended up being the first of all of the boats(including the big professional boats) so find a whale. Louise, our guide, went at an angle toward the whale and we ended up getting about 15 feet away from it. We figured it was probably 4 times as big as our little boat and if we went any closer, we probably would have capsized from it being under us. Here's some pictures of the whale blowing, up close, and of how scared I was. What a neat experience that we will probably never get in our lives again.

Snorkeling Seeing as I'm horrified of the ocean, I was a little hesitant about snorkeling. It was incredible!!! I'm sure snorkeling at Lovers Beach was what made it so great, but we got to see so many beautiful fish, and had a few great laughs too. Some people couldn't figure out how to walk in the flippers and I thought it was hilarious! In one of the pictures I couldn't stop laughing at the confused lady behind Jess; in the other picture, I'm trying to copy-cat her.

One of the pictures is of all of us with our tour guide/friend Louise. All in all, we had a great time here. What a fun group!
