Dying Easter Eggs

Every year for Easter since we've been married, we have decorated eggs and went to roll them down either the university hill in Logan, or Mueller Park hill by our house. It was so fun having the kids be able to "help" this year. Kingston loved putting wraps on the eggs and watching them shrink around it in the boiling water; Daddy had to help him. Kingston also loved to put stickers on; it was cut short when Maycie started trying to eat them. Maycie loved putting the eggs into the dye but Mommy would help so they wouldn't break. Both of the kids think its much more fun to color the eggs than to eat them.

Easter!

Happy Easter!!! We woke the kids up early this morning and told them how Jesus woke up too. We told them that Mary Magdelene went to see him at the tomb and he had risen. We then told them that we needed to find Jesus in our Easter baskets(we inserted Kingston's favorite picture of Jesus in the baskets so he could find him). As the kids came down the stairs, Maycie got really excited and I think Kingston was a little confused...

Kingston looked in all his toy drawers and under the couches for his basket. When he finally found it, he definitely knew he had found it. He gave Jesus a kiss then immediately went on to opening the "tandy!".

After watching Brother find Jesus and his basket, Maycie was ready to go find hers. Brother helped of course, but Maycie didn't care once she saw all the fun things inside. Maycie played with a red pinwheel for over an hour.

I hid Maycie's and Kingston's baskets in their favorite places; Kingston's was by all his toys, and Maycie's was by her high chair. So as a slight joke, I hid a basket for Jess too.... Just guess where it was. ;)

First Park Day of the Year!

What a warm day! The kids loved walking to the park and listening to the birds. At the park, they were a little hesitant with the wood chips but eventually forgot about them when they started watching and playing with all of the other kids. Kingston ended up making a little girlfriend. Her mother, and myself had to keep telling her not to kiss Kingston... I don't blame her though, Kingston and Maycie are pretty cute kids.

Growing Girl

This is the last morning I woke up to my baby girl being bundled up still. After this night, she has not liked to be wrapped up. You can see in one picture that she's a little sad and feels trapped. As soon as I asked if she wanted to get out, this is the huge smile that I received. I love this little one and am sad, yet happy to see her growing up.

Piggy Tails!

Maycie's hair finally fits in piggy tails!!.... And apparently so does Kingston's. I think its time for a hair cut for this little boy.

7 Months!

Maycie Marie is 7 months! The poor little girl is starting to teeth and is not her usual happy self. She's been a little sad and is very sensitive if Brother pushes her. However, Mommy loves that she's more willing to cuddle. Everything is going into her mouth right now so I have to make sure that everything is constantly sanitized so that she doesn't get sick.

Yucky Solids

I realize we're a little late, but she wasn't liking solids a few weeks ago when we tried them; so here's round two. I finally started really pushing Maycie on "big girl" foods and she still isn't their hugest fan. I mix wheat oatmeal with about a quarter size amount of vegetables and about double that amount of fruit. This particular mixture was the oatmeal with peas and baby applesauce. As you can see, she thought it was funny at first, then started spitting it out, then decided to be a sweet little angel and just obey Mommy and eat her food no matter how hard it was. Kingston thought it was funny so he decided to make a mess of his face. I sure love my messy kids no matter how messy they make my floors.
