Kingston is getting so grown up!!! We were so excited for his 4th birthday party that we started talking about it weeks before his actual birthday. So when we asked him what kind of party he wanted, he had already had his mind set on a "inja party"(a.k.a. ninja party). The fun part about this birthday is that Kingston was old enough to write his name on his invitations! He had a great time delivering them but didn't understand why he then had to wait a few days for the actual party. Needless to say, the morning of his birthday he could not be any more excited! Mommy and Daddy brought him breakfast in bed; cereal, yogurt, chocolate milk, a starburst, a mini crunch bar, and an otterpop... all his favorites. :) Before we headed off to the party, we let Kingston open one of his presents; A NINJA COSTUME that he could wear to the party!! He was so excited that he helped Maycie and Kasen get in the car and told Grandma Karen and Uncle Trent to run to their car so we weren't late. We had the party at Tunnel Springs Park by our house, and when his friends started showing up he couldn't wait to show them him ninja costume.
To start off the ninja training, Jess taught the kids different "ninja" moves such as a round-house kick, the grasshopper kick, and different sword moves. We made the ninja swords from paint sticks, black cardstock, and ribbon, and all of the kids had their own swords that they could take home once they passed ninja training. After they had the basics down, then we moved to a tumbling mat and worked on different rolls and "flips". It was hilarious to see some of the kids trying to do a summersault with the sword still in hand. We then had the kids line up about 30 feet away from "the bad guy"(a.k.a Mommy), and then would run really fast like ninjas to fight the bad guy one at a time. One of the highlights was the only girl that actually participated was the first one to let out a loud growl/grunt as she ran to fight the bad guy. Adorable!
Present time got a little chaotic, but Kingston sure enjoyed all of his toys. Some of the toys he got from friends were: a talking spiderman action figure, superhero figure books, a Paw Patrol figure book, a bounce hop, a Mr. Potato Head Spiderman, a Carz remote control car, some noise guns, sunglasses, comic books, a Spiderman punching bag with gloves, and many more. After working up an appetite, they at pizza and cake, and for treats we had sushi(rice krispie treats with fruit by the foots wrapped around them), fortune cookies, and chinese thank you bags full of candy. Kingston had a great birthday and it was fun to see how much his friends from school love him.
He then finished off the day by going to The Minion Movie with Daddy, Grandma Karen, and Uncle Trent. He thought he was such a big guy! Please can time just slow down!? Happy Birthday King Bean!
