Our happy Kasen Guy went from having 1 tooth to having 5 within one month!! And yet, he was still his happy little self! He did sleep a lot more this last month because we all know that growing teeth is hard work. Now we can't get over his adorable smile with those cute little pearly whites poking through. Can we just squish him all day?
This year for Father's Day just didn't want me to spend any money so I decided to make some things for him as a Father of three. The first thing I made is capes for everyone. Jess and Kingston love to pretend to be superheros together, so I took some old red curtains we had for $6 and made capes for Jess, Kingston, Maycie, and myself. We ended up flying around the family room for two hours! The second thing I made for Jess is a shirt; on front it says, "Super Dad", and on the back is a city that the kids can drive cars on. Jess loves laying on his stomach and letting the kids rub or step on his back so hopefully this shirt gets a good use out of it. Jess is the most amazing Father to our children I could have ever asked for. I am the luckiest girl in the world and am glad that our children get to enjoy their Dad every single year!
Jess' birthday was a super fun event! We went to Lagoon in the morning, then went to dinner at Tucanos, then walked around gateway and Daddy got to sit, relax, and just watch the kids play in the fountain. The kids love their Daddy so much and I'm so glad we got to celebrate the day that he came to be! We are definitely a lucky bunch!!
We had an awesome time this weekend with the uncles, Grandma Karen, and Uncle Jeff and Aunt Cindy. We enjoyed BBQ breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Newton Dam while floating the lake, playing with the dogs, and riding four wheelers. Jess is now on this kick where he thinks he wants to retire now, sell our house, and move to Newton to be together as a family all day ever day. We'll see how long this lasts. ;)
Being young and already having two children, people often say to us that we run before we learn to walk... All we have to say to that is
"But man do we sure run in style!"
