Jess decided he was going to be Super Daddy and take us on a last minute trip for a week in Park City. When we started to unload our stuff at the Mountainside Marriott, we found that our elf, Patrick, followed us to bring us a present. The kids were so excited when they opened it and it was the movie Inside Out. Mommy and Daddy were grateful to Patrick for the movie so the kids were distracted while we unpacked and organized everything.
We were lucky enough to get a two bed/two bath suit, so the kids actually had their own room, bathroom, kitchen, etc. Kingston claimed as his own and ended up grabbing everything from Mommy and Daddy's fridge and put it in his, along with putting all of his clothes in random drawers in "his 'cation house". He started to feel "big like a Daddy" and even ended up making his own sandwich one day; it was just jelly... on both pieces of bread.
The kids loved going to the theater room and watching the kids movies that they showed daily. They got their own popcorn bags, drinks, and were even able to dance to the songs. They also swam in the pool and 6 hot tubs probably a dozen different times but I didn't take any pictures of that for camera safety reasons. They especially loved when Uncle Trevor, Uncle Tyson, and Tyson's girlfriend, Kenzie, came swimming.
We took the kids sledding several times, but Maycie was not a fan; she preferred to sit on the hill and play games on Daddy's phone.
While Daddy was at work, Mommy, Tyson, and Kenzie helped the kids each make their own snowman. Kingston was obviously the most into it and was the only one willing to take a picture. They sure loved destroying them afterwards though. :)
We ate at the restaurant, Davanza's, twice while we were up there. They have good thin crust pizza and AMAZING cheese fries for so cheap. Mommy use to go there almost every Saturday for lunch during snowboarding season at Park City. Kasen's favorite part was his Mrs. Packman game table that he could play while he ate; needless to say, there wasn't much eating being done by him.
The kids had a GREAT time and keep asking if we can go back and live at our "cation house"! This will definitely be a new tradition for our family.
'Tis the season
